About Us

 

Morning Star Stables started as a way for Jared and Angela’s daughter to be closer to her horse, Abha.  Driving 60 minutes round trip is no way to enjoy your horse.  An old 10-acre homestead offered a chance to build a lasting home and vision for horse ownership and enjoyment.  The next step was to renovate!  With new fencing, a new riding arena, and a renovated 13-stall barn, Morning Star Stables is ready to provide a quiet setting for horse enthusiasts.  

 

Jared has been around horses his entire life, growing up on a horse farm and understanding the needs of each animal.  Angela comes from equestrian roots as well, but it takes more than two to manage 13 horses. 

 

With kids, jobs and additional commitments, we needed help.  Thankfully Angela’s brother Bill is an accomplished equestrian and he was up for the challenge.   Bill Trethaway is Morning Star Stables Barn Manager.  He’s been riding for 10 years, mostly with western, including competitive barrel racing.  He previously managed a barn in Minnesota but is happy to be back home in Georgia.  With a background in animal husbandry, he is passionate about providing the best possible care for your horse.  Bill lives at the farm and keeps two of his own horses there too, and is busy keeping things in order so boarders can fully enjoy their horses.
